Connor Meigs Art Award & Exhibit at the Florence Mill ArtLoft, Omaha, Nebraska. How to Apply:
The Connor Meigs Art Award is a merit award to help a young artist launch their career in art. It includes a month-long solo exhibit (with no commission charged on sales), professional mentoring, invitations, mailing, artist's reception, lodging, and a $1,000 honorarium. It is more than an art exhibit. The educational experience includes studio visits with working artists.
Each year new BFA graduates, who are residents of the United States, may apply by sending a resume, artist statement, art list and ten images on CD to:

Deadline is October 1. Recipient will exhibit their artwork during the following summer.

The ArtLoft is located in the historic Florence Mill at 9102 North 30th Street (next to I-680, exit 13) in Omaha Nebraska, 68112.

An Art Award for Artistic Excellence Given in Loving Memory of Robert Connor Meigs, 1985 - 2004
Artist, Preservationist and Director of the Florence Mill, which was a dilapidated ruin without a roof or windows in 1998, and now serves the public as a historical and cultural site. The Florence Mill is on the National Register of Historic Places and is home of the Winter Quarters Mill Museum and the ArtLoft Gallery.
